Licensing, regulation and customer safeguards
AvenQuant publishes the basis on which Australian customers are onboarded and supported. Regulatory status must be checked against the legal entity and provider named in your account documents.
Ask for the regulatory information relevant to your account.

Australian regulatory context
ASIC administers financial services and market conduct laws in Australia. AFCA provides external dispute resolution for eligible complaints involving participating financial firms.
A website, trading name or software interface is not itself proof of a licence. Before funding, check the legal entity, Australian Financial Services Licence details where applicable, authorised representative status if used, product issuer and custody arrangements against official records.
| Jurisdiction | Regulator | Registration / regulatory basis |
|---|---|---|
| Australia | ASIC; external dispute resolution via AFCA | Complies with applicable Australian requirements for client onboarding, identity verification and complaint handling. Registration details are confirmed with the relevant provider on request. |
What regulation does and does not mean
Regulation establishes conduct, disclosure, competence and complaint-handling obligations for relevant services. It does not mean a regulator has approved a particular trade, endorsed a platform or insured an investment against loss.
Different activities may be performed by different providers. Your account documents should identify who executes transactions, receives funds, provides custody and handles complaints. Ask support if those roles are not clear.
Customer onboarding
Identity and eligibility checks are completed before regulated account functions are enabled. We may request photo identification, residential-address evidence and information about the source of funds.
These checks support AML/CTF obligations and help reduce impersonation and payment fraud. A request for additional information does not imply wrongdoing; it may arise because a record is incomplete or inconsistent.
Complaints and external review
Raise a complaint with Client Support & Compliance first so the firm has an opportunity to investigate and respond. We acknowledge the matter, gather relevant records, assess the requested outcome and explain the decision in writing.
If an eligible complaint is not resolved, AFCA may provide independent external review. Time limits can apply, so read the decision letter and contact AFCA promptly if you wish to escalate.
Verify before you act
Check names, numbers and contact details through official ASIC registers rather than relying on a link in an unsolicited message. Fraudsters can copy brand assets and quote a genuine firm’s licence details while directing payments elsewhere.
